Can I sue for lack of security?

Rick Duchane: Look at how many places that don't have security. Even when outside the Mall with security they are not liable mostly because there is no guarantee that security will stop every assault. Look at the Secret Service..since they started protecting the President... what 3 Presidents were killed & shot. Jackie didn't sue. Was this man a patron of the bar, someone you knew & was the bar aware of his behavior? Then maybe you have a case to bring in security. There were 3 people shot & killed at a bar that I use to go to & it happened in the parking lot. The bar didn't own the parking lot. They were not responsible & the gun was in his car. I also had a guy 30 years older then me follow me out of a bar & come up to my car window & tell me he was going to break my face for looking at him funny. I called the police they arrested him but the bar wasn't responsible. Why would they be? They didn't assault me so why punish them? You can't sue because it's impossible for ! security to prevent crimes....Show more

Rubi Romo: no you cannot. They are not your babysitters therefore they do not need to look out for you. Many stores have back allys(NY) wheremany people get hurt,die, w/e. wat would happen if everyone who go hurt in a back alley sued. this would be relly simple if you thought about it for atleast 1 min.for more informantion contact your lawyer....Show more

Collin Pelfrey: yes its ur jobs responsibility to provide a safe work enviorment and seeing as how it happend on their property and you being an employee getting off then yes you can at the least id visit and talk lawyer you got a case and it cant hurt to talk to one of themwhat ppl are failing to see is u wernt going some where and assulted you were asualted out side a WORK ENVIORMENT where they are responsible for you. its like a kid getting beat up at his friends house their parents are responsible...Show more
