What's Marine Infantry School, ITB like?

I got caught reading a science fiction novel in the stands before class and was given much extra details for the infraction. The treatment in SOI is a bit worse because you are now a Marine and can handle it. There's nowhere near as much yelling and the silly games are no longer played, but it is still a serious endeavor. Honestly, I have NEVER heard a single Marine refer to it as Marine Infantry School, ITB, but oh well. If your drill instructors told you to report early, DO NOT! This will result in a month of guard duty before you start training. Check in on time, but with only a few hours to spare. This will not give them the time to mess with your orders and assign you guard duty. Is the month of MCT after boot camp no longer required for all male Marines before MOS school?...Show more

Coleman Coscia: My boyfriend's at ITB right now. Take your phone, you g! et liberty on the weekends and he uses that time to call me and his family. He tells me it's a lot harder than Boot Camp, but he likes it there most of the time. On the weekends he goes to the mall and things like that. I don't know if any of this will help, it's just what I know. He's only been there for a few weeks so he hasn't done too much.
