Any tips? suggestions? little comfort?answers 1:well three years ago i had all four and eighteen other teeth removed and they dislocated my jaw but they put me to sleep to do it and now i am doing just fine and over time so will youanswers 2:They gave me a valium...not a vicodin....a valium. It was dental strength. I couldn't drive there or back under the drugs so my dad went with me. I think I was 14. Anyway I was sitting down waiting for them to call my name and reading a magazine. They finally called me and I stood up...my dad who was sitting next to me grabbed me before I collapsed. I was lighter than a feather and they helped me to the back where I got some sleep gas and dont remember anything until i woke up. My mouth was sore. S! ometimes they have to cut your gums to get the teeth out, but mine were out far enough. One tip- If you're a smoker do your best to hold off on smoking for a long time afterward. If you do smoke...smoke as little as possible. Cigarettes make your gums turn to dry sockets. They hurt get swollen and can get infected. Rinse out with warm dry water if you think anything is getting infected or theres a black fluid in the water when you rinse. Also smoothies might be the only way you can eat for a while, but remember to get a spoon and dont use a straw. GOOD LUCK!...
