Vegetarian recipes? ?

Susan Rambo: I think it will be best idea if you just google " Best vegetarian blogs" "best vegetarian recipes"You will be able to find a lot of amazing recipes....This is what i always do.

Serita Hefferon: one of my favorite (and super EASY) recipes is beans and greens.add 1 or 2 cloves of chopped garlic to a couple tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot. then add 4 or 5 good handfuls of kale (or any other hearty green), a dash of balsamic, salt and pepper. cover and let the greens wilt. when the greens are to your liking, toss in a can of cannellini beans(drained & rinsed). sprinkle with fresh shaved parmesan to serve. sooo tasty....Show more

Travis Sherrock: -Grilled cheese sandwiches (very simple - put whatever cheese you like and maybe add some spinach leaves or vegetables to make it healthier)-Quinoa or couscous is always great. Quinoa has a nutty flavor and is packed with protein. I boil mine in vegetable broth rather than plain water, then mix in ! some fried some vegetables and spices. Can be served warm or cold. It can be especially yummy if you put it in a crispy & warm tortilla, then add sour cream and cheddar cheese. -If you're in a hurry then whole wheat pita bread & carrot sticks with hummus (roasted red pepper is delicious) is a classic.-Stir fry. Vegetables like broccoli, onions, peppers, and mushrooms work well. And tofu or tempeh is always great. Top with soy sauce.-Perogie (with some fried onions and mushrooms maybe) and sour cream is simple if you buy them frozen. I like potato and cheddar ones.-Caesar salad, garlic bread, and spaghetti with tomato sauce is classic. Just no meat in the sauce.-You can't go wrong with a salad. Lettuce leaves with your favourite vegetables and dressing is fine but maybe try something different like pasta salad. Here's a recipe for my favourite pasta salad. It might sound weird but it is super yummy.Orzo Pasta Salad1 1/2 cups Orzo pasta, dry 1-2 tsp Turmeric, groun! d 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil 1/3 cup Sun-dried tomatoes 1 c! up Feta, crumbled 1/3 cup Capers, rinsed 1/3 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped 2 tbsp Lemon juice 1 tbsp Garlic, minced Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook orzo pasta until al dente (7-10 minutes). Drain and rinse under cold water to cool. Drain again and place in a large bowl.Toss with turmeric and oil until evenly coated. Add all remaining ingredients and mix until well combined.Note: Best served chilled. This salad keeps refrigerated 3-4 days and gets better as flavours develop. Yields 4 servings.-Here's another recipe that I use all the time. For spinach potato cakes that are to die for.Spinach Potato Cakes2 lbs Yukon gold potatoes, diced 1/2 cup Extra virgin olive oil 1/4 cup Onion, diced 2 tsp Garlic, minced 1 tsp Rosemary, fresh or dried 10 1/2 oz Frozen spinach, thawed & chopped 1 cup Feta, crumbled 1/2 cup Parmesan, grated 2 Eggs 1 tsp Oregano, dried 1/2 tsp Sea salt 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper 1 1/2 cups Bread crumbs1. In a large bowl, combine cooled potatoes, onion mix and all remaining ingredients until well mixed. Scoop or form mixture into 3/4-inch patties.4. Pan-fry patties in a small amount of oil on medium heat for a minute on each side to create a crust.5. Place on baking sheet and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 15-20 minutes.
